I had one of my lovely ladies lay her first egg today. Not as blue as I would have liked, but pale blue enough. Better than white or green! I tried to photograph it, but it gets washed out so you will just have to take my word for it. Very Happy
I have to say I love the itty bitty pullet eggs and to have them blue makes them super cute.
I am looking forward to breeding these beautiful birds. I know I can get the egg colour better, it will just take some time.

Congrats on your egg.
I have 2 or 3 wheaton girls that are laying for me too. My girl I took to the show and then I get 1 and then 2 eggs the next day out of the coop the hens are in. Only ever saw the wheatons in the nest so guessing it is all wheatons so far. The show hen has a darker blue eggs, almost a tinge of green to it, the other two are blue as blue can be. Smile
