Here is a thread on an Australian forum that is pretty informative about breeding blue.
It is a bit of a break off from another forum (you know how that happens some times) so the information looks like it has just been posted, but it has actually grown over a few years and is all reposted now. Very good info none the less.

Have a look around, they are trying to grow their forum with a nice tone and lots of info for people interested in breeding. They don't mind our interenational flavour and they have cool smilies! Laughing

Thanks for the information coopslave. Blue is one of my favorite colors, I am trying hard to understand it and work with it, so this is very helpful.

Think we could ever get this blue. This is our Hyacinth macaw baby from a few years ago.

Good info Coopslave, I will sign up as this appears to be an interesting forum and Blue is one of my fav's my newest challange as of last year is Lemon Blue Moderns but I must admit I did breed one killer cockerel in the color this year but didn't have time to dub him for the national which I am now kicking my self for.

Thanks for that coopslave. I hope to breed my Blue Laced Red Wyandottes and Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas and this is so informative.

Thanks Coopslave for this post. My nephew loves the blue colour (I do too). Right now we have only one Blue Andulusian but hope to get some more blues in the future.
