We couldn't stick around for the actual auction, does anyone have a notion of the sorts of prices birds went for? there sure were a lot of ducks, guinea fowl and bunnies....

The prices were all over the place, as usual at an acution.

Some Highlights were the :

Light Brahma Pair of $110

Isa Brown Hens for $15-30 per hen??? Question

Call Duck pairs $80-100 (good quality)

Light Brahma (2 pairs) $160

Mandarin Drake $70

Other wise most prices ranged all over the place. I wasn't really keeping track.

Some groups of birds all purebred bantams, ducks, standards they went for $10-20. And then there would be a pair or single go for easily double.

Lots of boxs of Barnyard crosses, often large group with half rooster half hens. Also some boxes of straight roosters.

Not a lot of purebred birds there. Also not as many guinea fowl or peafowl, but sure alot of rabbit.

Sale went a lot smoother with caged house birds selling friday night.
