While I was out this morning I distrubuted more bedding to everyone because of the upcoming cold snap. When I opened the bedding area of my sons female bunny I found a bunch of bunny fur.  I checked for babies and there were none yet, so my question is: how long till I could expect babies? Or does this necessarily mean babies even?

I really don't want babies in the cold like this, but I guess my son (sneaky guy) thought he could sneak the bunnies together for a date one day.

Mine usually pull hair 2 - 3 days before birth. You should have babies by now.

I used to have an angora doe who did this once in awhile, and she was most definitely never pregnant as I didn't have a buck. So it may mean nothing...

When a doe makes a fur nest about 16-21 days after exposure to a buck, its 99 out of a hundred fake pregnancy. Beyond that could be real. I had a doe prep with fur 7 days ahead of time almost everytime.
