nice to be able to move them to a pen now with some grass coming up....ducks are good for our grass here, the soil is sandy so drains easy so no mud for them to make holes in, and they don't root the grass up like chickens, just fertilize it and keep it cropped down.

They're beautiful. Makes me think of the ducks we briefly had, especially Dave the Saxony drake. He was such a character. lol

I think I'd like to try ducks again some day. My previous experience was definitely coloured by the poor winter accommodations I had them living in...next time I'm going to try building a float-able duck hut that could go on water or land...just need to get my butt moving, design and build it. That's the hardest part of all some times.  Laughing

How do you house your ducks miry? I'd sure love to see some pics when you have time. Hint, hint  Wink

Yes happy ducks!  They always look like they are smiling..I love to watch them out the window each morning especially when they are swimming.
