Oh, geez. I am boring. I have already had most of the common species, or been around them enough to know what I don't want.

I might like to try some different chicken breeds. The kiddo would like some bantams.

Sometimes I think I would like a pig to raise and eat because BACON. Husband does not agree, and since he has actually had pigs and is an animal lover, I figure if he says no, I should listen.

1. A really good Houdan rooster of proper size, stance, mottling and crest.
2. A 14hh senior pony that I can just take out for the occasional ride.
3. An anti-raven barrier like an invisible bubble over the entire farm.

Omg, I am gonna be going real exotic here now and its hard to even narrow it down to 3:

1) Nyala Antelope(either Mountain or Common)
2) Giant Sable Antelope
2) Marco Polo Argali Sheep

If I had the means(aka bottomless bank account) I would probably have a huge collection of exotic wild ungulates from around the globe.

Mirycreek - I could help you with that female shepherd for SAR....I will be breeding a working litter for police/working in the spring.

My top three would be:

#1 - A german shepherd male, one that loves tracking as much as my girls and that compliments my girls in every way AND is a great herding dog AND is great around the chickens and leaves them alone. Smile

#2 - Mille Fleur D'Uccles that are not aggressive - my very first chickens were D'Uccles and I loved them, but the roo was a nasty little bugger - will get those when I move

#3 - Gypsy Vanner horse

you kids are so much fun.

1. a small flock of Chantecler bantams
2. Arabian mare with old colonial bloodlines from the Splitters Creek stud in Australia (now disbanded I think) for trail riding and just because I believe in those old bloodlines.
3. an Australian sheepdog for my husband because he wants one bad.

1) Very well trained Gypsy Vanner for my daughter, she absolutely loves these horses, and could do so much if we could afford a very well trained horse for her.
2) Flock of Bantam Buckeyes, I really like this breed and I think the bantam version being rare to Canada would be a nice difference in my grouping of birds
3) A large herd of Jersey cattle, along with a barn to house them in, and machines to do all the milking work. Smile

For me I would like

#1- Big Dogs! (Lab sized)
#2- Some laying hens (blue and green egg layers would be nice!)
#3- I got nothing for #3. We're still fairly new to our acreage so I haven't thought much about other animals.

1) Huge prairie spread like when I was a kid, over 4000 acres, but less than 6000.
2) a herd of Chianina
3) an Irish Wolfhound to sit beside me in my old Chevy as I drove through my herd of Chianina, checking them out.

PS, I already have the old Chevy.

I am a bit like you Authentic.  I am pretty ok with what I have as far as animals go.
I suppose if money was not a an issue I would have a very high powered cutting horse (or 2) and the money to show it LOTS!
Maybe a couple of ducks, but I think I like lusting after them better than I would like owning them. Wink
Some exceptional PChants would be cool too.

Meant to say this is a cool thread and I have enjoyed reading everyone's thoughts on it!

Are we talking ANYTHING?
I'd love to have a herd of elephant, on a tract of land big enough for them to be free, in their natural environment, free from harassment. Of course other animals would live there too!
I'd love to be able to own and therefore protect the ocean animals the same way.
Then a big area of tropical rain forest...
And then it would be a toss up between a Bouvier, a Napoleon Mastiff, or a Newfie to take out with my Clydesdale draft mule....
You did say unlimited, didn't you?

-I would love to have an easy 1000 acres, so I can exist without limits(4x4ing, snowmobiling, sitting, wandering around ect...)
-some purebred Percherons or Gypsy Vanners at least 2 cause everything needs a buddy.
-miniature donkey to keep the hubby happy and quiet even though it won't be LOL

I'm working on the old chevy. Uno do you know how hard it is to find a decent mid 80' Chev pickup, hard. Unless your hoarding all of them in your neck of the woods Suspect
