In the last four days 5 young wild ducks have joined our ducks and geese on the pond. They are now comfortable enough to share their food. I thought the dogs would scare them away, but they do not seem to be afraid of anything. I don't want to be feeding them but I am not sure what to do about it. I guess I will have to start feeding the ducks and geese elsewhere, maybe behind a fence or in the duck house. That would be too messy I think. Do you think they will stay all winter? I don't know anything about wild ducks.

Your in a nice area , which alot of wild birds tend to stay around , and not migrate.
Depends on what type of ducks they are but , they just might stay , , but maybe not . It could be just a stop over , until they move on down more south .
The wild ducks just figured , a free suppers good ....
