One of my babies is off

This morning when I opened the pop door on the chick tractor one of my buff orps came out and was just off looking. I went in and picked him up and he was just kind of floppy. I brought him in the house and have him in a kennel with a little food and some water with the chick vitamin mixed in. He seems a bit pluckier now but he'll be staying over night in the house. The other 5 babies are fine. Running around and cheeping up a storm. Weird.

I hope it was just an off day, and your chickie is feeling good as new again.

Just thought I'd pop into this thread to give an update. Little Orp baby is fully recovered and back in the run with his siblings. The 2 biggest boys had to go into the don't be a d*ck cage over night but now they are all getting along fine! Chick WIN!

I also have a don't be a d*ck pen. My chant hens live in it because they are d*cks to the others. Everyone needs a don't be a d*ck pen.

I feel like Wil Wheaton should champion this movement.

 I have one of those but I didn't know what to call it! Now I do!!

I also have one of those pens, but around my house it is called camp doom!  Lol

Yep it is! They must have learned how to bully from the best, they beat the tar our of my Houdans. So, now they live in the don't be a d*ck pen. The roo gets along fine with the Houdans, but I leave him in with his own kind.

They would have learned from the leghorns I have here! They ate nasty critters!!!!

Ha! Explains a lot. The one chant hen pinned down a Houdan in a corner, stood on her and started pecking her in the head. That was when I returned the chant to the don't be a d*ck pen, where she has remained to this day.

I would definitely leave her there also!! If I had my way, I would not have the white leghorns I have!! They are the most miserable birds I have ever owned!!
