Well, I am planning to drive down to the Lower mainland(Abbotsford/Aldergrove area) in about 2 weeks(no date set yet, can't get a schedule from my boss that far into the future Going to the Coast, Cranbrook to Lower mainland - Can bring along ........ K4cxf6) from Cranbrook(BC), probably going over hwy 95/1/coquihalla on my way there and taking hwy 3 back, but I am flexible on that.

Anywho, I thought I go thru my birdies and see what I could bring with me if anyone is interested. Still got some sorting to do but here is what I know so far!

1 pair of 6 week old Saipan Jungle Fowl, from Ideal in Texas, very nice birds, love the temperament of these oriental game/ "dino-chickens" but I have too many!! Asking $20 for the pair

1 pair of Madagascar Games, from Ideal in Texas, naked neck large oriental gamefowl type chickens, these are blue in colour and really neat looking birds.
Asking $20 for the pair

2 buff Leghorn chicks, genders unknown, about 3 weeks old, no heat lamp. Asking $8/chick

1 black Ameraucana chick, gender unknown, also 3 weeks old, no heat lamp. Asking $8

2 Black naked neck pullets, from Ideal in Texas, 6 weeks old. Sassy girls these are, definitely hold their own with the bossy oriental games. Asking $10/each

2 Pairs of Yearling Ameraucanas, Black/Blue. Gotta cut down my breeders so 2 pairs gotta go, black roo with blue hen and vice versa. Combination of Omega blue, Whitmore and Blehm lines. Hens look a bit rough since they have been in the breeding pens til now. Asking $30 pair

1 Black Australorp Cockerel from exhibition lines, October 2012 hatched. Big young Lad that still got some filling out to do but he looks more and more like his daddy so he will be a BIG bird when he matures, just as much of a marshmallow like his Da by the looks of it too. Asking $10

Will be posting some more odds and ends later on, still gotta do some sorting thru the flock.

His Grand parents belong to a fellow in Aldergrove, BC. His hens are lower mainland bred I believe and the rooster is a champion show winner he brought in from California. Stumbled across the guy thru a friend("gotta take you to see this guys birds, let go for a drive and visit him" kind of deal), have only a first name and not even a phone number for him.... I know I totally think ahead don't I? Haha

I wonder if the australorpe line was from Shelley Purdy?  She lives in the lower mainland and I know she had some stunning show champion stock.  The Purdy family might have been Aldergrove or Abbotsford, just a long shot....have an awesome day, CynthiaM.

The guy didn't seem to be to friendly towards the name Purdy, so not sure if that's where his stock originated from, his exhibition hen line he has been breeding for over 30 yrs so not sure how related they are to the Purdys birds, he just brought that big champ roo from Cali about 3 yrs ago for some unrelated blood.
