I come home this evening to find the wind had blown the door to my barred rock run open. I had these girls separated with their rooster and was going to collect eggs for hatching over the next two days - to sell.

They were out running with my free range chickens which include two silkie Roos and one mutt roo. If I collect the eggs tomorrow for hatching what are the chances they will be pure breed still?

I am thinking they should be since the egg due to be laid tomorrow is more than likely already formed and read to lay.

What about the next days eggs pure or no?

They wil be pure for some time even if the other Roosters had a go at it .I wouldn't worry about it at all .........at least not for a week or so But there might be others who can offer better advice ?

I would agree, a week should be safe.

I would just be straight up. Sell them as is, with a caveat that there's a small chance of an oops.
