We are wondering where in MB we could find some good strong outdoor bird netting to keep our guineas, IR and various chickens safe from the raptors? We want to put some out to free range eventually, but want to keep our original breeding stock contained so that if we lose some to predators we can replace them. We want to give them a big play yard...

I have heard of old fish netting, but does that work for guineas too, and where would you get something of that sort here?

What do you use, where did you get it & what did it cost?

Any helpful advice is appreciated!

I have ordered from dirt willy twice now and they are great to work with and their products are fantastic. I would recommend them to anyone.

Dirt Willy is REALLY expensive.

Depending on the size you need, you can try eBay or Amazon.

The online store I've found with the best price is http://www.cutlersupply.com/ - I am waiting to hear back from them on shipping rates. I will post again when I do.

Didn't end up going through Cutler Supply, since they never got back to me.

I ordered through QC Supply - was cheaper than Cutler Supply, and they were able to provide two different shipping options without me having to contact them personally.

I got a 2" extra heavy mesh, 50'x50', for $226.36 USD including shipping.

Dirt Willy price (my guesstimate based on a cut off from a larger roll) would have been at least $330 NOT including shipping or GST.

Got my QC Supply netting! It looks to be great quality. The size that I ordered was on backorder (not a big deal, since I was not in a hurry), but once they notified me that it was shipping out, it was only a few days before it arrived.

Total price, including the UPS fee, was $274.65 Cdn. - I'm guessing that is over $100 cheaper than getting it from Dirt Willy.

If you're looking at wire ? there is a place in St Anne that makes it and often sells it fairly cheap ( rejects ) ? other then that I bought some netting at Liquidation world for cheap , 50ft rolls by 4 feet high for $15.00 per roll ? It's a plastic netting though so ??

What is the name of the place in St. Anne? Does it have a website?
