Something occurred to me this morning... My white chicks have all had yellow down.

I checked the bator on my way out this morning, and one of my controlled breeding grouping's eggs hatched. This is a blue orp/black australorp cross hen covered by a blue orp, white chanty cross rooster. He is primarily white, however has some blue feathering that appears randomly.

The chick born of this egg is white. Not yellow, not silver. Is white.

Care to guess at what colour it'll turn out to be when it starts to feather? Pictures later!

If both parents are blue, then I would say it will be a splash coloured adult.
