I was also born on the 12 th! Today quadruply lucky for me.

I was eating a really delicious roast beef sandwich while sitting by the woodstove in my bathrobe and thinking, wow, I could die happy right now....

It's really astounding the various theories and doomsday scenarios that people are buying into for the upcoming solstice. I will be celebrating as I always do - by thanking the planet for making its way back to the right side of sanity where the days get longer and the hope of summer evenings keeps me content by that woodstove.
