Buddy is my sole survivor (of the spotteds anyway) of the mink attack a couple of months ago. She is a fabulous duck and is laying like crazy. I am looking for a home for her because now that she is recovered I don't think ours is the best place for her. The Saxony's don't like her and we have no other small ducks. Normally I would bring home a buddy but we don't have housing for bantams anymore and they can't live with the Saxony's. Right now I am taking her from the barn, down to the coop for some fresh air and outside time and then have to bring her back to the barn at night.

She's not perfect anymore.

Her neck is set crooked, and so she carries her tail crooked too for balance. For this reason I would rather she not be in with any drakes and be kept with other bantam ducks. She does not seem to be in pain. Eats/drinks/bathes/quacks/walks/hops/flaps quite well. Might even be getting chunky. Lays an egg nearly every day so she earns her keep at least.

So I thought I'd put it out there in case anyone might have anything that would make her happier. Worst case, we do the barn thing until new housing can be built and keep her but that may not be for some time.
