I wanted to know what others use to boost the calcium content of feed for their muscovy ducks? We were wondering if oyster shell is acceptable? They will free range this summer should the predators not bother them too much. Some recipes that I found for duck feed (found very little recipe info for guineas) were as follows:

fishmeal
black sunflower seeds
kelp

wheat, corn, oats, sunflower seeds
high quality alfalfa hay in winter

Do they have the calcium content that is needed? We have a milk cow...would they down milk & milk products like chickens would? Any other suggestions?

What about when some are little guys (?), as I am sure we will have some this summer. Do these things change at all for, say, Indian runners, or are they fed basically in the same way?
