HI I just checked the feet on my silkie rooster and he only has 4 toes on one foot. Not good for a breeding bird is it? Its not listed under silkie disqualificatins but I don't have the SOP with the general disqualifications. I wouldn't have known except he has something stuck in his feathers and I cleaned it off. HEs the only rooster I have

I believe it is a dq for any breed that has 5th toes to only have 4 toes.
Being that he does have a 5th toe on the other foot, it could be that he had an injury that caused it to fall off. A friend of mine has had 2 different silkies each lose on of their 5th toes during the summer.

The bird in question could have also been born with only a 5th toe on one foot.
If you can't find another silkie rooster then try a test mating and see if the offspring all have 5th toes on both legs.
