Apparently this wild turkey had been terrorizing a neighbourhood so they sent a reporter to check it out.

Wow! That is a ferocious looking turkey. Thank goodness no reporters were seriously injured while filming this. Rolling Eyes

To the uninitiated, an aggressive Tom can be very intimidating! I know, I had my one and only (to date) trio of turkeys for a few months and the Tom was very aggressive!! He scared the beheebies out of me!! It came to be that I was completely paranoid whenever he was out of sight. I would wait for that rattling sound of his feathers poofing out in dread-filled anticipation, always looking over my shoulder and never letting my guard down!! When he did manage to sneak up on me, he would throw himself at me, feet-first, attempting to bash me with his wings. He would follow me to my car and circle around it just like this wild one does. He would then run part-way down the driveway beside me as I drove away. He was huge too! Imagine that hideous, bright blue (in his excitement!! affraid ) head bobbing along at eye-level to me as I drove down, only backing off when I either hit the steep part of the driveway (end of HIS territory?!?) or out-sped him! It made me laugh so hard!!

I finally got rid of them. I couldn't take it anymore. It still makes me laugh, albeit slightly nervously and quite embarrassedly. Embarassed I am LMAO right now just thinking about it. lol! But I'm kind of glad I don't have him around anymore.

I know she was genuinely scared, but I couldn't help but laugh out loud. I didn't realize they were so aggressive.
May have to rethink getting turkeys this spring.

Wow. That's just nuts. Aggressive turkey? Really?! LOL he didn't do anything but walk towards her. In that case, all my turkeys are 'aggressive', they all want to say hi and see what you are up to! Razz

When you get in a situation like that you should find a baseball bat or a crowbar and secure yourself a good dinner.

I'm not saying the one in the vid was aggressive, but mine was, without a doubt.

I am sorry to be very mean. But I cant stop laughing. All my turkeys do that. But they stop right beside you and chirp while waiting to get their treats and food. I have 8 toms right now and I havent had any "aggresion" toward me. They will fight each other on occasion, but they have a pecking order now. They all come right up to me and stand there "singing" as I call it.
