Well, my first test hatch is most likely a bust - two 1/2 days of no heat, and honestly I didn't have time with everything going on to pamper the eggs - I put a blanket over them till the incubator was back up to heat today, and who knows...they werent' far enough along to candle. It was 8 mixed duck eggs.

So I just got more eggs to set into the new bator...after all, it keeps talking to me...

I should be able to candle everything when I get home to see how it went. Smile I know the temperature was good and humidity was good...so hopefully no more power outages.

As we all know, eggs can handle protracted cooling far better than overheating - who knows, they might be ok. I'll look forward to hearing.
