Our motto for this Christmas is "In case the power goes out". Had our ice storm. Not as bad as Ontario but the power went out the other night. They had it back on by morning but it has flickered a number of times since, even today. So we do everything early in case the power goes out. The roast is already cooking in case the power goes out. Have a few buckets of water (for flushing the toilet) in case the power goes out. Extra batteries in case the power goes out.
Many kudos to the NB Power crews. Those poor blokes must have barely stopped to sleep over the past few days.
