Haiku - an interactive thread

Haiku poetry is fun, and is about all I can ever tackle. A friend on FB loves cats and has started a Haiku-a-day post. I added one of my own, and in the spirit of Christmas I offer it up here, and hope you all will add your own to the thread. It will be fun!

So here goes:

I love a Tale of
Christmas, Cats and tree decor;
Tinsel out both ends.

  

dreams contained
warm nest deep in winter
five eggs today!

Farmchiq, is this a haiku or am I just lost?

It's a lovely start Magdelan! A "proper" Haiku is 5, 7, 5 syllables.

A Haiku has five
On each line but the middle
Seven for that one

Prepare her place
Mover her out, boxes, stuff
Then clean my own.

what is happening
shivering cold to the bone
when will spring be here

Santa is coming
Bear trap set by the fireplace
will hold him hostage

lights, ribbons, dreams of joy adorn

ooo..a bit rusty but i cant resist

Chicken nugget meal
Turds in a farmers plow field
Feathers for a bun
