Well it's 24 hours later, or almost 24hrs, and we have 11 healthy happy B/B/S Orpington chicks!

I am very excited, I have been wanting to hatch out a healthy batch of fuzzy butts ever since I laid eyes on Briarwood's Black Orps.

How cute is this?

Well if that isn't just nice, too cute, eh? I cannot figure out what you have there. You said B/B/S. I am looking at the pictures. I see blue, I see black, I think I see buff and I think I see splash. I think. Now what does the acronym stand for (B/B/S). I cannot stand acronyms sometimes, as they confuse me. I tried to read what you had in the incubator in the orpingtons and closest I can see is in the first post, but you had three lines in there, yours, KathyS, and Briarwood. Can you define better how many hatched, whose line and so on. You need to make the results more clear, for those nosey people like me, that need to know everything, clearly. Yep, just my way. Accept me for what I am, smiling that big smile, Razz . Eleven made it from the 17 that went to lockdown? That is an OK hatch, but it will get better as the season progresses. Is my math correct? Anyhow, hope I don't come across as too much wanting to know, but I do Shocked . I love little fuzzy butts. So clearly. What colours you got, some of the images I could not really tell too easily. Yay!! Have an awesome day, CynthiaM.

Ooops, I see that you only set Briarwood's two dozen, you will be hatching yours and KathyS's. Embarassed Sorry, mind bleep, too early in the morning. But still need to know what the acronym stands for, puleeeeze

Hey Cynthia,

B/B/S Stands for Blue Black Splash!

Yes these were Briarwood's lines that I set. All eggs were fertile, just a few stopped developing, which could have been for many reasons.
16 Fully Developed Eggs made it to lock down and 11 hatched, I have the 5 that didn't pip scheduled to be removed from the hatcher tomorrow.
I am very pleased with this hatch, been wanting these lines for a while now!

From this hatch looks like I got 6 Blacks, 3 Blues and 2 Splash!
