Now I'm kicking myself for dumping out my whey! Could have given some to the cat and frozen some for bread and chicks. Next time!

Would the dried whey work as well as the fresh liquid?

I've been buying organic yogurt for my chicks. that is fine for now when we don't have a lot of chicks but if we ever hatch lots....


Would it be a good additive to layer food?

Be really careful. Most Whey Powders contain lots of other stuff that I'm not sure how the Chickens would handle.

Most powdered whey that I found was for body building supplementation. Came with a lot of filler powders in it, can't think of names off the hope, but a container for "whey Powder' typically has 9 or 10 ingredients
