Decided to edit this post. SOrry to leave you hanging Rosewood. BUt I have to agree that the crackle and snap of a fire is a soul warming experience. It even sounds warm!

We are so lucky in this house, because we can watch the fire in a real stove even without a poker. One really enjoys the warmth of a fire after splitting the wood with snow falling down the one's neck.
