Special Attention

*All pigs must be in suitable crates (no wire dog cages), no pigs over 20 pounds

*All horses, donkeys & llamas must be haltered BEFORE arriving at the receiving doors. Tiger Paw staff WILL NOT halter animals

We have changed our sale location. Thanks to the Ontario Livestock exchange for so many great years. Unfortunatly narrow minded Woolwich town council has made it impossible for the sale to continue within the township. We look forward to working with the Orangeville fairgrounds.

Be advised there will be a presence of animal rights activists, humane society inspectors and media personnel. There will be hidden cameras and video phones. We will be under the world’s watchful eye and expect to see portions televised throughout North America. Let’s show them what a great group of animal specialist we are!!

Accommodations:

Atlanta Motel 1-877-941-8280 316 Broadway Ave Orangeville. Special sale rooms $75 and $85 per night
Maple Inn 1-519-307-2600 236 First Street Orangeville. Same room special This motel is closer but under renovation!
Best Western 1-519-941-3311 7 Buena Vista Drive Orangeville. Rooms are more expensive but a up-scale hotel with a pool

Any sale we have ever attended in Ontario has been very humane, large crates, food water/available. I have never, seen anything like what I've seen in the West....
The dog in the ball of wire at MJ took the cake.

Its crazy what the auctions are letting people get away with lately, the boxes in general have improved but there are always a few consignors that get away with terrible crates.

To improve the diversity and quality I will be hosting an exotic sale in Innisfail next May. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Hidden cameras? Animal rights activists? I am not sure about you guys, but this would not give me confidence to even go near this sale, no matter what is offered. There must be a better way to encourage good animal husbandry in the advertisement!

That was a pretty pathetic site that's for sure, Sweetened even bid on the dog...didn't want to give the pathetic excuse for an owner any money but wanted to see it go to a better place. At least after it sold(Not to us) the Humane Society showed up and looked into it, no idea if anything ever came of it.

Have to say I was pretty disgusted with the auction house for allowing some of the animals in the way they were.

There is nothing he can do about animal activists showing up with hidden cameras and video cameras; how is he suppose to get around it? Dosent scare me any..

Jeez, there were even animal activists at my sale this spring. But they ended up being surprisingly happy with the event, they couldn't believe it. Their only concern was that I wasn't doing background checks on the people who were buying my Guinea pigs...

I think the cameras and activists are a GOOD thing. Ontario does NOT tolerate animal cruelty at all and has some of the stiffest laws in the country.
BTW, I raised the "dog in the wire", with the auctioneers who take on the attitude if the animal is being abused at home, it is better it finds a new home.

Of course there should be a watchful eye there. My concerns are about the wording. It almost sounds threatening. Maybe that is not quite the right description. However, that can't be good for business. The previous paragraph even denigrates the former location. At the very least , not a positive sale pitch.

That's pretty funny Ty! Background checks on guinea pig purchasers!
