Hey i know it's late in the season. But does anyone have any wellsummer hatching eggs for sale. I think i would be looking for a dozen-2 dozen in approx. two weeks.

Thanks

Crumb. I just put 30 eggs in the bator 4 days ago. My hens are moulting bad so not sure I would have enough for two dozen in two weeks. I may have extras once they hatch.

Call Ducks, if you have these eggs shipped let us know how you do it and how they arrive. I can't imagine what the shipping would be like from one end of the country to the other.

Yes, I think he lives in the Maritimes. I am interested in shipping eggs from Quebec and was wondering how they might fare on the long trip.

Sue, I got some from Ontario and I think I had around a 40% hatch rate. Not to bad.

Colin,
Try Dan Smith just outside Calgary. Don't know if he's done with eggs or not. I got 8 wellie eggs from him mid september, killed one candling and hatched two. Had issues with Canada Post but that's just me, I'm a Murphy's Law Person (if it can go wrong, it will go wrong) lol.

I actually ordered eggs from Dan Smith three weeks ago and had requested Welsummer eggs...unfortunately, the Wellies had stopped laying and he couldn't send any. I did get Barnvelders from him though...
