Just delete it and move on. If it sounds fishy, it is. Simply having an e-mail address means you're going to get a certain amount of spam daily.

Otherwise, I would be a gazillionaire from all the Nigerian phishing scams I receive daily ....

I get surprisingly little spam. Less than one a month. My concern here was to warn others and to make Hidden River aware what was happening.
