One of my orpingtons is broody. I have a barnevelder rooster so I was wanting to put some orpington and some barnevelder eggs under her. My barnies are not laying well right now. One is moulting. The one that is laying has been laying an odd shaped egg. fat in the middle. I have read that it is not a good idea to use odd shaped eggs. I am not sure why. What do you think might happen.

My odd shaped eggs are usually infertile. But not always! So give a couple a try!
