As I only have 7 pullets laying, I am able to keep track of all the eggs laid, weights, and by whom. And today was our first 6 egg day! I figure that is pretty good, being winter and all. I like the rainbow of eggs, so plan on adding brown leghorns in the spring (I had one but it died in a nest fight) for white eggs and either marans or welsummers for the dark brown eggs. Today's haul was green, pale brown, and light brown, and we are looking forward to breakfast tomorrow! Wonder if I will ever get a 7 egg day?! Thanks for listening in on my joy!
