I ended up bringing home 3 muscovy hens last night. They are laying eggs right now and when we went to show them their shelter one laid an egg. I asked my oldest son to grab it and he started gagging as soon as he touched it. I couldnt figure out what the problem was as he collects the eggs from our chickens all the time. I started laughing like crazy when he told me it was gross because it was warm and sticky!!! I had not even thought to warn him about the difference between very freshly laid eggs znd those he gathers in the chicken coop!!
