With the amount of raccoons I seem to be able to entice here for an easy meal, I'm wondering if anyone here would be interested in the pelts? I hate to waste, and was raised that anything you shoot, you eat, but livestock protection is another story. Feeding the eagles and ravens is ok, but if someone would want a pelt or 6, I would put the effort into skinning them first.

Maybesomeone could bring back the "Daniel Boone coonskin cap" trend of the 50's?

Remember Sue, Hillbilly is a child of the 70s. He doesn't have a clue what you're talking about. You probably gave him nightmares now, racoons on your head.

Oddly enough, my mom gave me a coonskin cap when I was about 8.

There are normally tanneries around that would pay you for the pelts , I do believe that the price of fur's has gone up in the last year and raccons are used in quite a few coat's as collars ? That or a taxidermy shop might want some to stuff ? Worth trying I think

I think raccoons on my feet might scare me more though. Evil coons chasing my toes everywhere.

If I was a little closer I might take 'em. Although.... maybe if you ship them to me via Canada Post, it might take less than the standard 3-4 weeks "If we feel ambitious" rate they seem to move at. Nothing like greasy ol coon pelts sitting in the warehouse to provide a little incentive Laughing (appologies to anyone who is involved with the postal service)

Not sure that slippers would be a good idea.

Good way to get shot in the foot.

I'd also be wary of coonskin cap gifts.

"Honest Officer, I thought I saw a raccoon was walking along the fence coming after out chickens!"

Maybe a coonskin coat. Something where it no longer looks like a raccoon.

Might have someting to do with this statement,Uno?:

You suggestion of nightmares may have some validity.

I'd likely shoot myself in the foot.
