I need a young chick asap

I have a chick that is the only survivor of a small batch of eggs I was attempting to hatch. It was hatched last Friday and I need a chick from the Red Deer area to be its companion. If anyone can help out let me know. Thanks.

You should try to get a hold of ChickeeVicki, she normally sets eggs all year round and might have something for you.

i have 4 that hatched i have one black copper one olive egger , 2 banty cochins, i can keep the 2 bantys here as i have more hatching on tuesday i need to keep them as they are not mine...you can get the maran and the olive egger if you want ? calmar is just south of leduc, i am a hours drive from red deer?
the marans are $15 the olive egger be free

Thanks again, this little chick has become so imprinted on me, its hard to give it the attention it needs. I let it run around on me when I watch TV but it wants a whole lot more time than that.

actualy i have some buckeyes that hatched last week as well if you would rather have them? they be the same age!

Your chicks have settled in nicely with my lone chick. Those heat packs you put in the box are amazing. I actually took them out as the chicks were getting to hot. I am going to get some of those to keep in my truck, in case of emergencies.
My life is going to get a little easier now that my chick has some company, thank you again.

no problem! yea i guess only needed one heat pack hahaha opps but at least you caught it so they didnt get to hot! those are handy i buy a big bag from walmart there are 7hr ones like those i gave you and 18hr ones i use for shipping eggs,
