Chilliwack to Edmonton area transport required

I am looking for transport for 7 Silkie/Showgirls and 5 Bantam Brahmas. They would probably be in 2 cages/crates.

I am very flexible about pickup. It could be as far south as Red Deer or along the Yellowhead east of Edson.

If anyone has room and is coming to the Wetaskiwin show from that area that would work too.

I have a rooster needing a ride to the Edmonton area as well. Barriere is on the Yellowhead Highway and we could easily meet someone driving from Chilliwach to Edmonton.

There are 2 other horse transport companies that travel from the lower mainland to alberta. Crofton horse transport and H4 have been willing to transport chickens. They are easy to find on the web. I have used crofton for horse transport and she was fantastic but our plans for chicken transport fell through. H4 was willing but I had made other arrangments by the time he had gotten back to me.

Just another thought...............

I contacted H-4 (Kevan Gorecki) about transporting the dog I was looking at and he got back to me and said his insurance only allows horse transport. Just fyi.

Oh maybe since dogs are not live stock? He was hung go to bring the bantams up last October. Bummer

I tried the number I had for Kevan and it was out of service. Anyone with an up to date number? Are there other livestock haulers out there? Poor Cornel needs his pen space and we want our birds! there has got to be someone driving from Vancouver area to Alberta!

Tanya with East Wind Stables is great to work with. Her info is on my website - shipping page. She just transported a dog for me, and went to great lengths to make sure the trip was comfortable for the dog, even with the road being closed for several hours... She does the Vancouver - calgary - edmonton fairly regularly I believe. Give her a try!

I have a Black Cochin for Marsha Small needing a ride and perhaps a GLW rooster for another party as well. We can meet somebody on the way through Barriere.

I will try Carolyn and Tanya tomorrow. Poor Cornel, he wanted to sell to make more room and we are having a devil of a time getting his birds here.
