Oh, you had to do that now didn't ya, such cute little fuzzy butts, I so now have the urge to get on to getting the incubator moving on up. You bad girl!! Those are some very pretty little chicks. I thought the little black feller in the last picture was just so neat, looks like you have a very nice camera to get such intricate detail. Good luck, hope you sell these little ones easily, and I am sure that you will, have a beautiful day, CynthiaM.

Oh, I meant to mention that Chester looks absolutely beautiful, what a gorgeous comb he has!!

Could I borrow your olive egg chart? That's a great way of explaining it! I have f1 olive eggers I am going to breed to welsummer and ee so I will have both f1 and f2.

I wish I had a way of getting them, I would take them all mine are laying very dark brown eggs and I would like more, we have many chicks just hatched so they would be easy to look after.

Just want to point out that chart isn't quite right - an F1 olive egger mated to a dark brown layer will produce 50% dark olive layers and 50% brown layers, not all dark olive layers.

Really its 50/50? I thought the blue (green) is dominant and the dark brown just gets sprayed on top to deepen the green? I had read some where a small percentage would still be brown but I did not think 50/50?

What about a white egg layer over an olive egger? Lighter green?
