Well I have been back to work for about a month, after being home for a year with the kids. I wish mat. leave wouldn't have ran out or money wasn't so tight. Sad It is really hard going back to work, really hard leaving the kids and really really hard trying to get everything done at work and at home. I feel so behind. Crying or Very sad

I feel for you. I have been stuggling with the fact of going back to work myself, just not enough time in the day though to have a farm and be gone all the time at a job, and also have to tend to the kids after school. And your's are way younger than mine.
I am sure you will get back into the swing of things though and night times will work more smoothly in time.

Oh, that is a hard thing to do! Leaving your child for the first time with a care giver is heartbreaking! Not to mention that there are not enough hours in the day to get everything done that needs doing.
I've been there too. At least mat leave times are better than they used to be. A year does give a new mom a nice long break to enjoy the baby before heading back to the rat race!
But as hard as it is sometimes, try your best to find lots of those special moments to spend with your child. They are so precious, and so much more important than housework!

I definitely feel your pain as I'm going through the same thing! Trace is now nearly 14 months and it's not only the stress of going back to work but also finding a job as my employer "illegally" laid me off. I'm looking for part time, there's no way we can do full time and pay for daycare and have the animals. I've seriously considered options for my horses, but after 20 years of loyalty how do you let them go? No one leases anymore, people can't give away their horses the economics are so bad so the whole thing is a major stress for me. Talk about delayed post-partem!
Anyhoo, I'm sure you've found a great caregiver and that you all are settling into things. I can't tell you how to get more hours in a day...still trying to figure that out...although my "miners lamp" style headlamp has helped at night.

I know what you mean. My wife has gone back to work full time and both kids are now in daycare. I work away from home for a week at a time and am only home on weekends so its very tough for her. We hate the thought of somone else raising our kids. We are trying to figure out a way that she can stay home but its so hard with all the expences of todays life. Good luck.
