Yesterday hubby and I, along with my mother and brother, hand picked over 400 straw bales onto a flat deck trailer, than hauled 100 to our place, 100 to my brothers, and 200 to my parents, where we unloaded and restacked them all. Whew. What a workout that was! I felt muscles in places I never knew I had. And this morning while admiring my bounty of soft, wheat straw bales that have never seen the rain, I’d do it all over again. Now I just need to clean out the coops/mini- barn and there will be plenty of fresh bedding for everyone. Yay!
