?? Cock Fighting ??

Ive been selling all my extra roos. Now im down to 7 out of 17... they live in the correl and barn but tomorrow my foal is coming home and i need the barn and correl so yesterday i put the rest of the roos on kijiji for free. (not a good idea) ive been getting calls from very young teens, adults asking and making sure that my roosters are very agressive!!! Now i never said anything on the ad about them being agressive. They are Rhode Island Reds and yes they are a bit agressive. I dont no what you guys might think but it just didnt sound right and i DONT believe in fighting any animal. So i think im just going to have to put them in the pot. Do you think its cock fighting?? I would just die if one of my birds had to go thru that.

It could be. I'm always careful who I sell my roos to. I also put an ad on kijiji for my extra roos though I always put a price on them. I received one email that asked,"if there are 2 would they fight?". I responded no, they are peaceful and never heard back. Hard to say what they wanted. I would much rather butcher them humanely than send them to a horrible life. One does have to be very careful.

I guess I would suspect the same as you.

But I can't imagine that they hope to find a champion on Kijiji. They might be looking for training fodder.

I just worry. I didnt bring them into the world for that.Good to no that someone else has experienced this too.

Cockfighting? Really? People still do that in Canada? I thought that was only going on in other countries.

Cockfighting is illegal in Canada, US, England and pretty much every other developed country in the world but that doesn't mean people don't do it.

Something is vey, very wrong when people are completely insensitive to suffering and take enjoyment from it. Makes me so angry to read these kind of stories and know that people still engage in this barbaric activity.
