Well something happened today we never would have guessed, Rosie came home!!! Ok I know that sounds strange after the sad day I described a couple days ago but we figured out now that is was Rosa (Rosies baby from last year) that passed not Rosie.
The last couple days since the accident I never saw Rosa roosting in her normal spot in the barn, thought maybe she was looking to nest as well. Then today we were out cleaning coops and hear a noise, turkey flying out of the quonsett, they always make such a dramatic entrance, anyways she come walking over to us and comes for a snuggle. Something only Rosie would do.
I guess in all the stress and pain Rosa acted so calm just like Rosie, never thought she had gotten so big (she was half bronze and half black so much darker in color usually) but after all that it was Rosa...It is still unfortunate that Rosa had to pass the way she did but I have never seen a happier girl in my life. Amy picked her up and gave her a huge hug. It brought tears to my eyes once again.
