I have just been given a solid blue polish roo, and I already have some white crested black pullets and one rooster. With any luck, I will be getting some splash hens later this summer.
Is it possible to have a non-white crested (ie the solid blue) roo over the white crested black hens? I was hoping to only have one pen for these guys next year, and 2 of my WC black hens are frizzled, so I would love to see some blue frizzle chicks.
If I did put the solid blue roo over the wc Black hens, what would my chicks look like? I understand the genetics as far as blue/black/splash and the possible outcomes, but have never dealt with crest color before!
Thanks!
