This years sunflowers were the biggest I've ever grown. The variety was called Gigantus from West Coast Seeds.

Thanks Smile
My inspiration for growing giant sunflowers came from Cynthia. She posted pictures of beautiful massive sunflowers she grew, and I had to give it a try Smile

I will for sure Mirycreek.

I roasted the seeds. It was the first time for me, it was a lot easier than I thought!

Beautiful, Izzy. I am going to set seed for that variety this year too. I spent an incredible amount of time drying smaller variety sunflower heads and it was just oh so much work (saved them for winter food for my chooks, for treats). But boy, I have the room and I would love to feed the wild birds out back and the tame birds here too, smiling....for sure I will order some. And I would love too, to roast some for personal eating. Have a wonderful day, CynthiaM.
