I know it's not Thanksgiving.... not even close but I was just thinking about all the many wonderful people in my life and the blessings they bring. Our hay/straw supplier is a wonderful man. He just pulled into the yard with a spool of straw. He was out of square bales so knowing that we wanted to strip out the coops and re-bed them, he went to Armstrong (1 1/2 hours from us) picked up a spool of straw and has delivered it on a Sunday! LOVE that man and his amazing family! He did all this in trade for a handful of pullets that chicken crazy daughter doesn't feel meet the SOP We have an amazing vet Taryn Cass. Last summer when our mare foaled and had some really bad tears I called Taryn. She apologized over and over that she could not leave her son's first birthday party (even tried to figure out how she could get away with it...... Ummmm NO!!!) I sent her pictures of the damage and she called another vet and insisted he come up even though he has no interest in reproductive medicine. Thankfully the mare was ok, a heck of a mess but she healed. I also must send a big thanks to Fuzzy Little Friend...... a very special hen that is a recent addition to our flock finally started laying. She's an older girl and I want to hatch EVERY egg possible from her. Fuzzy fired up the Brinsea just for the few eggs we were able to collect from this lovely old lady. If you are having a bad day....stop and count your blessings. If that fails there is always wine!
