Now taking orders for Royal PalmXRidley Bronze poults, due to hatch end of May. My Ridley Bronze is a young guy, so doesn't really seem to know what he's doing yet, and the RP hens are in with him and a very experienced RP Tom. So, it's POSSIBLE that the poults could be pure RP's.
Poults are $12 each, 10 for $100.

HI
How long does it take them to reach a reasonable size for butchering?

Abt 5 months. It depends on what you feed them of course. If they are in enclosed area and you free feed them something with a high protein content, they get bigger faster than if they free range for most of their food and you feed them an organic grain mix (this is what I do, and I like them butchered around 6 months).

These ones could be a small turkey for Christmas, or a large turkey for Easter, but they will never get as big as those 30 pounders you see in the store. Royal Palms are a small turkey, but tastey Smile
Let me know if you have any more questions Smile

I would love to do some of these as christmas 'thank yous' for customers...

BUT I have to first find out if I have anyone within driving distance who will process them
Thank you for the quick response (not looking for 30 lbs monsters anyway)

Well I have no one near or even sort of near who is open to process.
Everyone is closed by the October Thanksgiving weekend.

How far is Kelowna from Radium? There is a poultry processing place here.
