Worst birthday ever!!

Well the day started out bad and got progressively worse. I was sick last night and didn't sleep. Then we progressed to finding out that my new lavender roo and one of his hens died last night. Not sure why as neither showed any signs of sickness. Then the moose that has decided my yard is her territory kicked my lone big dog and I cannot catch him to see if there are injuries due to his timidness. It succeeded in trampling two of my kittens to death as they were in the trees playing. I go to start my vehicle and my battery is dead, and the kids have been scrapping like crazy today. To top it all off, my hubby is gone to work. Wish I could crawl in a hole and never come out about now!!

I feel horrible for you and the events that have caused you anything but celebration.  Wishing you something that will come of this day that will be much more pleasant.  For what it's worth now...

Got the excursion running, been able to dispose of the chickens and kittens, was able to trap Red tonight and all I could find wrong with him is a tiny piece broke off one tooth. He brightened my day by giving me a "big puppy" kiss while I was holding him and crying with relief. This is the first time that he has really shown love back to any of us so maybe we are winning the boy over!! The kids went outside for a couple hours and burnt off pent up energy, then came in to make me a burrito supper as mom was NOT to cook supper tonight.

   Yay...some parts of today you may look back on and smile, in memory.

My goodness, Smoky! I would be a whimpering puddle after all that! You are made of strong stuff. Doesn't that moose belong in your freezer? Hang it for a while and then celebrate your un-birthday with filet for all... even the surviving kittens and dog!
