I have borrowed a friend's Ova Easy 190. What turning interval do you recommend for the eggs? I can choose from 30 to 180 mins.

Thanks!

Jen

Well mine do not have the option of turning speed, they turn every hour, seems to work for me.

I chose 60 minutes on mine. although when I had some shippped eggs I chose the longest setting, figured the would do better with less turning after their jiggly trip..

Never heard of the speed being adjustable ? Most are preset to turn the eggs six times per day . Once every hour seems like a lot ? twenty four times in one day ??

Thank you! I set the speed to 60mins. I had never thought of this before.

I would change it to 180 minutes. The slower the better. I have been told by a member that that some of their eggs were damaged due to the egg turning in their Brinsea.

Interesting...I believe my small brinsea takes 45 min to an hour to go from side to side so it's veeeeeeeeeeery slow.

Still sounds like to much to me based on what I have read up on turners .8 times in 24 hrs I can see According to what you say Giddyup that would be over 24 turns in 24 hrs .............and that is fast .

Could be, it's the only incubator I've had...but our lowest hatch rate was 87% and highest 100%.
