I have 3 Dominique hens from last years hatch (2012) for sale and 3 pullets from this year's hatch. The pullets are young but big enough they could all be housed together now. Great foragers and egg layers.
I would like $20 each.

What colour egg do they lay? I don't know a lot about this breed, do you have pictures posted here somewhere too?

Oh boy, you asked for it, pictures of my favorite breed!
They lay a nice tan egg, not huge but about medium I would say and are very prolific and fertile and they have that neat little rose comb.

They do go broody occasionally, I had one this year out of 12 hens but when they do they are very good mommas.

They are very agile, and love to fly and perch as high as they can. It is hard to catch them by hand outside during the day, whereas I can run down a buckeye without a net Laughing
In that sense they are little "wilder" of a breed but I wouldn't call them flighty just a bit more wary and active.

They mature early and start roosting early too, the young Buckeyes and Chanteclers were happy to sit on the low roosts or ground at night but not my Doms!

Sounds good....come on across the border!!
They would be quite a contrast to your Sussex but not unlike us with buckeyes and doms.
