I got to Ty's sale later in the morning and I never did see the advertised chocolate turkeys. DOes anyone know who was selling them and maybe who bought them?

Cathy
(I also put this under Turkeys wanted... actually by mistake)

Cathy they didnt arrive in time for Ty's sale, came the week later I believe. He was selling them on his way to Edmonton the weekend after his sale. I think it was Iceman that brought them up or the two of them together, not sure?
I would contact Ty and see if he has any left, sounded like Grandma Art took a couple but they didnt fair so well.
I know last year the Chocolates didnt do well on our shipment, but Iceman said his shipment which arrived the same day as ours did fine? It is very hard for these little turkeys to travel.

When I googled chocolate turkeys to see what they looked like, I found this website: http://www.porterturkeys.com/

Perhaps some of you know of them. They ship to the border with health papers and seem very 'into' turkeys. Looks great.

Yes that is where PC's turkeys and the ones Ty had imported came from. We did an order last year when PC got her chocolates and they didnt fair so well. The ones that I picked did pretty good, but the fancy breeds didnt fair so well. PC is lucky she got a pair out of the order because almost all the other chocolates died within days of getting here.
I really like the Porter's turkeys, all the colors and my blue slates I got from him are wonderful birds.

My blue Palms are from Porters and did very well. My Oregons didn't do so well, only 2 made it and they are both Toms.

I will try to get pics this morning, it's raining pretty bad here tho.
