I was wondering if a hen is setting standard and bantam eggs, do the bantams have to be removed after hatching for their safety? Only my chanteclers have gone broody, none of the bantams, so since we want more bantams, we put a mix of eggs under the chanteclers, and are really hoping some hatch.

I think it would be fine, we have put mixed chicks under hens and they seem ok. The bantams seem to need more heat at first, so they stay under mom more while you see the standards out and about a bit more.
I like to raise standards and bantams together so they get used to each other but if I am brooding artificially I usually leave the bantams in with standard chicks a week or so younger than them as that seems to suit them best.
Good luck!
