They have been talking about this for over a century already .Not going to happen ...........ever !

Never say never. They're doing genetic stuff today that they that was over a century away in the 1960's.

Personally, I would prefer that they focus on organisms that humans have caused to go extinct. Quagga, passenger pidgeon etc. Lots to choose from with much more closely related living relatives to help.
