I'm that first timer pacing the floor. Clever Sue had a brilliant baby pool idea and so here it is.

My goat was "Exposed late November, early December". She has been showing signs for over a week and a half, maybe closer to 2 weeks and is driving me crazy.

What day will she kid!

And, if you dare, Single or Twins? She's a first timer. AAAAND GO

As an aside, we'll be naming it Walter if its a buckling, we haven't decided on the girl name yet. My goats have 'old fashioned names': Estelle, the goat in question, Murielle, her sister, and Gretel, the Swiss Ober.

YAYYYY Squee!!

ah, this is funny. The title said kid "pool" and I wondered what on earth you were talking about, so of course, I looked at the thread, sounded interesting. Then, after reading and thinking, you wanted a kidding "poll". Well, good Sweetened, you certainly caught MY attention. I think you are going to have baby goats and I don't know how many and I certainly would have no clue about gender. But it is gonna be a happy day at your farm when the event occurs. And...I know you will tell us and have some really good pictures. Take lots of pictures (and I could even watch a birthing and be very pleased with what I saw). Wouldn't that be just cool to get a picture of a baby being born of the goat species. Not likely, but hey, ya never know. I hope you have twins. Have a beautiful day, CynthiaM.

I'm going to say Sunday at 2:30 in the afternoon, cuz that's how it went around here this year. Everyone was born about 2:30. A picture would make it easier to say how many, but lets say 1 girl.

Sue, if you win, you'll have to help me name the other boy Razz Has to be an 'old fashioned' male name.

How loose is her tail? I'll guess May 8th for fun, with Walter and Jack as the two boys names. Hope they aren't grumpy!

Hey Sunday-ers, you lose Smile

Last night, Estelle started white and off white mucousy discharges as well as periods of laboured breathing. As of this morning, she still has the above, is angrilly penned up and I am at work >.< Another mostly sleepless night for naught.

On the up side, there is a new goat kid here. Moose (yes, MOOSE, not Sweetened) bought a Saanan buckling yesterday at the auction. Formerly used at a petting zoo, he is insanely friendly, a talker, and social. He's already running the dogs around the house. We have named him Sven.
