The one on the right is totally serious (look of
what you doing now?) about the fact that us humans must be nuts to be working when you could be napping on your holidays; eating, more napping, eating & napping! The one on the left with the held paw is so pitiful; I can feel the mayhem in the moment! That look from a dog usually means I take off my work coat (heated up from working anyway) and the dog gets to snuggle up and have a round bod nap on the coat...yeh!

I am the one in the fam to take time outta the work bees to go in and make brunch for us or around 14:00 we humans would both have darn headaches and be a tad bit more crabby than usual (have we eaten? NOT!). I'd always have the dogs follow me (messy cook; think the Muppet's Swedish Chef and dat's moi!) inside and I'd send one out to get Rick with a note on a collar saying "breakfast is ready!" The dinner bell on the porch never seemed loud enough to ring over the tool noises.
I so love man's best friends...totally capital "T" for trouble with no vested interest in getting the projects completed...projects mean eats outside and that's always more reasons to share more of the bounty with the dougals.
Couldn't ask for better company concerned about the goings on at the place!
