16 White German Racing Homers (Grande Prairie area)

Hi

I have 16 white German racing homers for sale, and 4 ceramic nesting bowls (about $7 each). There are 4 pairs of breeders and 8 young from this year. I originally bought them with the idea of doing White dove releases at weddings, funerals and other events in the Grande Prairie area since there is no one north of Edmonton. However, due to changes in plans I will not be able to try this in the next couple of years. This would be a great way to start a flock for anyone interested in it as a business. Prefer for them to all go as a group. I will sell pairs at $45 per pair. Just need the pen space right now. I can deliver to the Edmonton or Calgary area on my next trip down to see my son in Calgary.

Once they have been raised at a place for a period of time (i suggest a year) you can train them to return to their new place. I tried it last summer. I waited until the pair had hatched young and were feeding them. Then i release one of the pair. Tried it from 5, 10, and 40 miles. She returned every time. Tried it with the bird mate. He returned from 20 and 40 miles. Of course the young will return to where hatched. The 8 young have never been out of the building to have recognize a place. I would still suggest not flying them for the first time until they are paired and nesting.

I would have to give my GPS and I really need it when I go to the city.
